A quiet February break

Well, this week was quiet and uneventful.  I always look forward to any time that our daughter has off from school.  But the really nice thing was that we could enjoy the Olympics without worrying about getting up for school the next day.

Our little sweetie had some work to do – math review and reading – but she also had to pick a sport in the Olympics and write about it like a reporter.  So she picked figure skating.  In order to be on time for the school deadline, she wrote  about men’s figure skating.  We learned more this week about all of the intricate jumps, steps and moves then we ever anticipated we would.

We’ve been glued to every event we could watch.  Just this evening we watched as Apolo Ohno won bronze.  His 7th medal makes him the most decorated winter Olympian ever.  Can you imagine?

I’ve been asked many times which I love more – Summer or Winter Olympics?  Without a doubt  – Winter!

Peace & painlessness,
